When fire rated protection is required, use Connected Switchgear! Our fire rated wall box is suitable for use with our entire range of socket outlets and wall switches.

Our fire rated wall boxes are manufactured from sturdy zinc steel and incorporate sliding mounting clips. This is to allow speedy and successful installation in wall surfaces up to 35mm thick. The WBR-FR1 is suitable for use when fire rated protection is required for dry wall surfaces.

The wall box contains 10mm intumescent material. This provides a -/120/120 acoustic rating up to STC50 for up to one to two hours. To achieve this fire rating however, it must be installed in accordance with the instructions.

Screw centres are 84mm with rear conduit entry points in 20 and 25mm. Knockouts are indicated on the product for easy cable access.Also available as standard metal wall boxes. All brackets have been designed to match our range of switch plates and socket outlets and even universally!
